National Grid turns to Central Compressors for vital air supply
Central Compressors has supplied and installed two high-performance pressure vessels for the supply of compressed air to the Tod Point National Grid substation, which serves British Steel at Redcar in Yorkshire.

Central Compressors, working with J P Sauer & Sohn, has supplied and installed two medium-pressure compressors for the Department of Engineering at Cambridge University, to provide the air supply to their state-of-the-art wind tunnel.

Central Compressors supply air systems for nuclear submarine refits at Devonport Dockyard
Central Compressors has won a six-figure order to supply two specialised systems to Devonport Dockyard. The compressors have been specially designed to supply breathing air for undersea applications. At Devonport, they are to be used to supply air to the Royal Navy’s nuclear submarines when they dock for refits.
